We would like to thank ALL who emailed us. However, kindly note that we are not an adoption organization, we do not receive in-kind donations as we are a startup nonprofit, there are no volunteer opportunities at this time and we do not organize visits or other activities. Thank you for reading.
We were fortunate enough to have a mother and a father who surrounded us with their love, who worked hard to provide for our daily needs and education, and who were there to listen to us and offer advice. It is our turn to give back to those less fortunate than us and to -share with them the joy of belonging to a family.
What follows are some of their thoughts which clearly show that most of the children in foster care are still desperately in need of the stability and security that only a loving "forever family" can provide. There is no substitute for permanency, whether with a biological family or an adoptive one:
"I don't think they (people) understand how it feels not being able to say 'mom' and 'dad.' … going through foster care, you don't get to say that, you know, that often. And if you do trust somebody enough to say that, who knows how long they'll stick around."
"If you jump from foster home to foster home to foster home, if they just randomly move you … like they did us, it's just like, it throws you completely off balance and then like if you were feeling secure then you are completely insecure because you don't know where you are at or who you are with."
All Hearts Foundation, Inc. was created with the mission of providing a family, cultural, and educational environment for orphan girls as means of their empowerment and increase of self-esteem. And the orphan or single-parent girls of our Afghanistan and Iraq wars heroes whose number reached 12,000 at the beginning of 2010, will find in our family all those ideals their servicemothers and servicefathers made their ultimate sacrifice for. Because it is our philosophy that every orphan is entitled to access a healthy, emotional, cultural, and spiritual development that a family environment provides to their children. “Our Hearts, Their Future.” Our organization's core value is that our love, compassion, and education can heal and help develop orphans’ self-esteem and understanding of the true values of life and society. This is the only way our children – orphans or not - are channeled to reach their full potential while understanding that there is nothing more empowering than the feeling of having a purpose in life. They will carry this empowerment throughout their lives which will therefore help our society progress and prosper. “Their Hearts, Our Future.”
With this in mind, our organization has planned to develop a campus that will start with a 12-grade boarding school. A certain number of orphan girls will be brought in the campus to live and attend the school that will have a "special" curriculum. Starting with the first grade through the twelfth grade, these orphan girls will acquire "special" skills in the following fields: nursing, forensic sciences, foreign languages, computer programming, etc.
The development of the campus will continue with a college, a library, a technology center, a multi-purpose auditorium, an athletic field, as well as tennis, volleyball and basketball courts.
Furthermore, All Hearts Foundation will establish contacts and conclude agreements with colleges, universities, institutes of technology and polytechnics to provide tertiary education and housing on a scholarship basis for the graduates of “All Hearts Foundation” School.
We are also planning to build a small “educational” farm where our children will be free to use their energy while learning the basics of farming, which despite the technological revolution remains the most important occupation in the world.
We will also make special provisions and arrangements to support our orphan girls until they will find a job and be able to support themselves or start their own business. We will create a special department which will offer consultancy for job placement or entrepreneurship.
The "All Hearts Foundation" School admits girls of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available on campus and at school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in administration of its entire program and educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
This is the solution we found on solving a complex social challenge each community is faced with and to the best of our knowledge, there is no other program like this in New Jersey or another state. Through our main mission, our organization:
1)Will prevent the increase of criminality, homelessness, and unplanned pregnancy by offering a diverse apprentice training program through its school;
2) Will prepare orphan girls to become the very nucleus of a family;
3) Will educate orphan girls in the spirit of community volunteering and compassionate strength as a means to give back to the society and in particular, to the community they belong to the same values that were used to educate them;
4) Will not subject girls to an avalanche of pressures to become adults before they are ready to do so;
5) Once in this program, adaption will no longer be needed. Basically, we eliminate any adoption risk resulting from well-masked or concealed human trafficking or child exploitation (domestic service).
Family is the very nucleus of any society. Within the family environment, a woman holds a primary role as a wife, mother, and worker. And because the burden of being female begins at birth and continues throughout childhood and adulthood, and because all societies have been found as having their second class treatment of the female population, our organization assumes the responsibility of taking care of orphan girls.
"Investing in the education of girls has a high pay off," says Christopher Colclough, the director of the Global Monitoring Report. "Education helps to increase (women's) productivity to a significant extent, thereby adding to household incomes and reducing poverty. It also increases personal and social well-being. When parents, in particular mothers, are educated, their children - both boys and girls - will be healthier, better nourished and have a greater chance of going to school and doing well there. Investing in educating girls now is one of the best ways of ensuring that future generations will be educated." - (GIRLS CONTINUE TO FACE SHARP DISCRIMINATION - United Nations Literacy Decade 2003-2012) There is a purpose in prosperity to be a blessing for others and each of us can become an orphan’s miracle by making a difference. “Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy ~
